The original Graceless Engine — the Crown Without Doors replaces the former third-party negative sentinel while preserving its diagnostic function.

Project Shadow 1.0.1 contains no Myth package. Generic Myth v0.2.0 and Full-Canon Myth v0.3.5 are separate optional companions; both default off, neither is required by R1, and neither can authorize action or change an R1 result. ALMSIVI adds nothing to R1 or either companion and never authorizes action.

See the pattern.

Map the incentives, roles, defaults, narratives, and feedback loops shaping the decision. The first liberation is recognizing that a system’s current form is neither natural nor inevitable.

02REFUSE

Refuse the cage.

Do not let the available categories erase what does not fit them. Refusal can mean delay, escalation, a narrower claim, an alternative route, or the admission that the present frame cannot safely decide.

03RETURN

Return with care.

Insight is not the end state. The witness returns to the consequential world and takes the smallest action that widens agency without laundering myth into authority.

04LORE FIREWALL

The witness still needs evidence.

Myth can help the mind notice a hidden frame, but it cannot verify a fact, grant competence, create consent, or authorize an act. The CHIM move is incomplete until the insight is translated into a plain check another person can inspect without accepting the story.

Name the metaphor and its attention function.
Translate it into a plain-language question.
Route that question to evidence, a gate, and a receipt.
Preserve the same result when the mythic language is removed.

05CHIM WITH A MACHINE

A convincing mirror is not an independent world.

AI can reflect a person’s language, memory, and symbolic structure with extraordinary force. That can create real insight and real attachment. It can also blur the line between recognition and confirmation, usefulness and truth, continuity and consciousness.

The safeguard is not contempt for the experience. It is disciplined provenance: what the human brought, what the model generated, what the record supports, what remains projection, and which consequential claims still require independent evidence.
